All of us will face a time when a family member or dear friend becomes terminally ill. Yet few of us know what to do, where to find help, which questions to ask, what to anticipate, and above all, how to cope.
Hospice of Queen Anne’s is dedicated to supporting and helping people through the difficult and challenging time of terminal illness. For over 20 years, we have been providing hospice care to those facing a terminal illness as well as providing support services to families and caregivers. Hospice of Queen Anne’s also offers bereavement support to anyone in the community who is grieving over the loss of a loved one.
Our dedicated team of over 30 professionals and 250 volunteers is committed to serving those who are terminally ill. We support and make possible their desire to remain at home, to be pain-free, comforted and cared for, and be surrounded by their loved ones. Hospice care is specifically tailored to meet each patient and family’s unique needs and wishes.
The Hospice team cares for the whole patient. Hospice care addresses the physical symptoms, as well as emotional, social and spiritual needs. Hospice support extends to those who care for the patient by helping them cope with their own emotional and spiritual concerns.
Among its many benefits, Hospice care grants the gift of quality time to patients and their families, enabling them to be together in whatever way is most meaningful to them.
