The new Center allows Hospice of Queen Anne's to offer services, including six residence beds, an administrative wing for clinical and office staff, and a Center for Bereavement and Healing. The residence consists of six rooms decorated in a home-like manner. The rooms each have walk-out capabilities to a small private patio area where patients and families can enjoy companionship in an open air setting.
The common areas include a home-like living room, dining area, and fully outfitted kitchen for meal preparation. It is much like a house with six families living in it. Patients and families feel comfortable, as if they are home rather than in an institution. Families will be encouraged to participate in the care of their loved one whenever and however their abilities and desire, enable. Unlimited 24-hour visiting hours make it accessible to guests, including children and pets.
